Hello journal! Long time no see, as usual.
I don't make a lot of journal entries partly because I don't expect anyone to be interested in them, and partly because I don't have time - but here's one.
I've been using Apophysis for almost two years now and I've gotten very comfortable with it. However, I've recently started exploring other fractal generators. Primarly Fragmentarium since the renders can look soooo realistic What I'd really like to do, though, is export 3D fractals as .obj files (or any other regular 3D file format) and render them in a "real" 3D rendering software where I can assign them materials, create even more complex light sources and so on. If anyone knows how to do this please tell me, because I can't find any 3D fractal generator where exporting them in this way is possible! I'm also interested in printing my own 3D fractals if I can find out how to export them.
What else is happening in my life? Well, I have a huge test in mathematics tomorrow that's practically going to determine what grade I get, so I'm nervous about that and should actually be studying right now.
Furthermore, my cousin recently got murdered and no one's been convicted yet even though it's obvious who did it (Sweden has a crappy judicial system), so there's like a new article about it in the newspapers every day. I only saw her at christmas and various birthday parties, but that's another thing that's making my life stressful at the moment.
On the bright side, my winter break is only 3 weeks away!
Thank you for reading,
